If you're looking for a wireless keyboard/mouse combo. Look no further, the functionality and design of this product is great, and it looks really good too. The extra buttons on the mouse come in handy as well as the shortcut keys on the keyboard. I am glad I payed the extra couple of bucks to get a product of this quality.
The item came quickly and was in great condition. Have been using it every day and it works great.
It does move around a bit on the desk, and rattled when I typed on it. I bought this keyboard/mouse combo to replace the horrible keyboard that came with my Mac G5, which was a blight to the Apple name. At the beginning of this year I sat down to write my first book. I ended up putting a thin mat under it and that dealt with the vibrations. The extra function buttons are somewhat useful - the shortcuts for operating iTunes for example - but most of them I don't use.The mouse is pretty decent, though a bit tall and large for my taste (I use a Logitech Nano portable mouse as my standard mouse, and like the size of it better). This Logitech has greatly improved my typing speed and reduced my error rate (I'm a touch typist, 40-50wpm).There aren't many third party keyboards for Macs, but this is a solid mid-priced one that is very pleasant to type on. Because it uses low-profile laptop type keys, it's a nice desktop complement to someone who primarily uses a laptop. The keys themselves are quiet and smooth, but the overall keyboard is very light and rather plasticky. But it points and clicks just fine. The page up/down buttons on it are useful, but I often confuse them with the volume up/down buttons that are also on the mouse (the volume buttons here are where the page buttons are on the Nano mouse).
Makes work very efficient, keys are easy touch. A year ago, I became a Mac user and this was the keyboard provided to me and I love it. After leaving Corporate and becoming independent contractor for web design, I purchased my own MacBook Pro and didn't hesitate to order this keyboard/mouse at the same time. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and that is a big deal, that the keys not be stiff. I highly recommend this to anyone coming from the PC world.the keyboard will be much more familiar to you.
Because the keyboard is wireless, it's also easy to pick it up and shake out the cookie crumbs periodically :-)Because this set is wireless and I am using Airport Express for wireless music, my whole computer setup has a single cable on the desktop - power to the iMac. The white and matte silver finish of the keyboard and mouse make them a good cosmetic match for the iMac too.
I have no issues with performance - the mouse works very well for typical computer use such as web surfing, office applications and e-mail. I have owned this set for about a year and a half now.
I find the keyboard easy to type on and it's quiet in operation. The wireless technology is seamless - my iMac connects to both keyboard and mouse in a jiffy after battery changes.
Battery life is decent by the way, I change the mouse batteries every 4-5 months. The volume and page scroll controls on the keyboard are very handy and I am sure others may find all the other dedicated keyboard functions useful too.
It makes for a tidy and minimalist desktop.
